About Simon
Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1998. He is an entrepreneur as well as a lawyer, and has set up and led two well-known law firms in the North East, with wide experience of major projects for private and public sector clients.
In 2023 he co-founded Home Sale Pack with Ruth Beeton. It gives buyers, sellers and agents the legal information about a property up front, so fewer sales are delayed or fall through. Simon leads its work to digitise conveyancing, including using AI to pick out the key terms in Land Registry documents.
He also works with the National Innovation Centre for Data on projects to modernise conveyancing.
At Vecta Law he leads how the firm uses technology, from Emily, our digital assistant, to the AI-assisted checks our lawyers review. His aim is simple: clearer updates, fewer delays and more of our lawyers’ time spent on advice.
Clients value his commercial approach and his ability to see things from their side. He takes the time to understand both their personal and their business needs, and many rely on him as a long-term adviser.
