Founder and solicitor
Ruth co-founded Vecta Law. She leads our property team and shapes how our service works for clients, from the first quote to completion.
Ruth has worked in conveyancing for more than 20 years and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. She has a deep knowledge of every aspect of residential property, from first-time purchases and new builds to leasehold, remortgages and complex chains.
She has founded and built several law firms in the North East. In 2023 she co-founded Home Sale Pack with Simon Priestley, a property technology company that uses AI to highlight the key legal terms in property documents, so sales move faster and more openly.
Ruth is a leading voice for upfront information in property sales. She has written about why the information buyers need should be ready before a home goes on the market, and how technology can cut transaction times.
At Vecta Law she owns the client journey, working with our technology team so that every digital step, from instant quotes to progress updates, is clear for clients and fits the way our lawyers work.
She also writes many of our plain-English guides to buying, selling and remortgaging.
